Technology for post-MFA apparel industry

摘要

International trade in textiles is being governed by Multi Fibre Arrangement(MFA)since 1974.It has imposed restrictions on developing countries through a quota system.MFA,by keeping the new entrants away,has prevented competition among the existing players and assuring the garment manufacturers a higher price realisation,thus making the industry lethargic and inhibiting its growth.
