摘要

Three statistical techniques, namely linear regression, stability and stress sensitivity index, were compared to study salt tolerance in wheat. Although these methods gave similar results, the stress sensitivity index is recommended to study salinity stress tolerance. Nevertheless, the tandem use of these methods would give a more comprehensive information for salt tolerance. The salt tolerant parents KH 375 and WH 157 are recommended as potential parents for evolving salt tolerant genotypes. The cross KH 375 X HD 2009 appeared to be promising.
