Reclaimation of mined out areas have become a prime necessity in retrieving the excavated out waste lnd sgenerated due to mining activities. The overall concept of mined out area retrievation is made of two aspects, i.e. Physical Restoration, ii) Bio-logical reclaimation. Physical restoration involves the final shaping of landscape in the mined out areas and include the contour blasting, filling of the void areas, levelling, and creation of depiession areas whereever feasible for the purpose of retaining wafer. Restoration is a combination of land and water management in the post mining pit, where the length of individual component depends upon many factors such as. Depth of pit Stripping ratio and availability of waste material for back filling. Sharpness of the post mining contours. Water accumulation. Thickness and depth of ore body.
