Cranial duplication in Jersy cow - A cause of dystocia

A dead calf with cranial duplication removed by cesarean section under local infiltration anaesthesia. The cow made uneventful recovery after surgery without complication. Congenital problem may affect a single anatomic structure or function, whole system or part of several systems. Congenital duplication are a subject of interest because they can form a graded series from slight duplication to near separation of two individual [1]. Dicephalus is described as an abnormality of incomplete separation of heads resulting from twining in human and animals [2]. Congenital abnormalities may cause obstetrical problems.
