Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., Cleveland, has appointed John M. Stropki Jr. as executive vice president and COO. He retains responsibility for the company's North American subsidiary while broadening his scope to include regional responsibility for Lincoln Electric Europe; Lincoln Electric Latin America; and Lincoln Russia, Africa, and MIDDLE east, with presidents for those regions reporting to him. Stropki has been with the company for more than 30 years, working in the Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Chicago district offices and later serving as district manager for the company's offices in Columbus and Cleveland. He became national sales manager for Canada in 1992 and was and senior vice president-sales, two years later, responsible for both the U.S. and Canada.
