摘要

We present a solitary wave solution of the generalized nonlinear Schr?dinger equation for dispersive permittivity and permeability using a scaling transformation and coupled amplitude-phase formulation. The constraint conditions and the frequency regimes for the existence of solitary waves in a negative index material (NIM) have been worked out. It is shown that soliton shift in a NIM may be suppressed by a judicious choice of the TOD and self-steepening parameter.
