A combination of the Suzuki and the McMurry coupling on tris(5-bromo-2-thienyl)methanes leads to the title compounds which accommodate one n-hexane molecule or three silver(I)ions in the cavity.Host-Guest Chemistry"as well as"Supramolecular Chemistry"have been keen subjects in current organic chemistry.
