Bixby Energy Systems, Inc. is adding carbon liquefaction technology to its portfolio which will allow the company to produce both synthetic natural gas (SNG) and light sweet crude oil from coal without the need to burn the coal. The liquefaction technology, being developed with Proton Power, Knoxville, Tenn., will be integrated into the Bixby Process~(TM) . The company expects to complete construction of a liquefaction beta unit in mid-2011.
