A51 -year-old premenauposal female patient underwent a right breast needle core biopsy because of indeterminate microcalcifications on routine screening mammograms. She was gravida 2, para 0, age 12 at menarche. She had no family history of breast or ovary malignancy. She never had hormonal therapy. A bilateral breast examination was performed and no abnormal findings in neither the breasts nor the axillary region. The pathological result of the core needle biopsy was reported as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), intermediate grade (nuclear grade 2) with central necrosis. The patient underwent breast conserving surgery.
