10 Electric power companies to integrate data communication into PNJ-C

While new common carriers are being concentrated into KDDI and Japan Telecom in international, trunk, local and mobile communications, movements of the communication companies originated from electric power companies, which have their own telecommunications facilities and are evolving businesses are also drawing public attention. In data communications, new common carriers originated from electric power companies will integrate data communication into PNJ communications (PNJ-C), and provide high-speed data communication services nationwide, making their optical fiber network equal to Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT). Integration was concluded after complications due to disagreements among power companies.
