Bedside Serving Table

In A WW #187 I described in detail how I make box joints on a bandsaw. When cut accurately, these joints are useful in furniture making as they can take a considerable amount of stress.This project is a bedside serving table, similar in function to the trolleys used to serve patients in hospitals. It is a convenient item for someone who is confined to bed as the 'feet' slide under the bed, positioning the table top in front of the seated or reclining person. In addition to meals, it can also be used to take a laptop, iPad, books, colouring materials and other items that may serve to keep the person occupied.
