Chemical transport emergencies

When dangerous goods are transported by road within Australia, the vehicle must carry information that is for use by emergency services if there is a fire, spill or other accident involving the vehicle or its load. A similar rule applies for rail transport in some states. Emergency information is available from Standards Australia in two formats: as HB76, Dangerous Goods-Initial Emergency Response Guide and as emergency procedure guide cards from the AS 1678 series, known as EPGs.
