DuPont to sell copper fungicide business to Mitsui & Co.

DuPont has reached agreement to sell its copper fungicide business assets to Mitsui & Co. (Tokyo). The sale is expected to close in fourth-quarter 2014, subject to approvals from regulatory authorities. Terms were not disclosed. Mitsui & Co. will acquire DuPont’s global copper fungicide trademarks, including the Kocide and ManKocide brands; product registrations; registration data; manufacturing know-how; certain third-party contracts; and DuPont’s Houston, TX copper fungicide production facility.
