Total has confrmed to CW that it plans to divest Atotech (Berlin), its last remaining non-core specialty chemicals subsidiary. The news emerged on Monday following Total's announcement that it has agreed to acquire battery major Saft for $1.1 billion. Patrick Pouyanne, chairman and CEO of Total said that "Atotech no longer matches our strategic vision.
