Investment firm buys agchem intermediates, MA and derivatives businesses from DSM JV

Ardian (Frankfurt), a private investment company, says that it has acquired the exclusive synthesis, and maleic anhydride (MA) intermediates and specialties businesses of DPx Holdings (Durham, NC). The acquired activities are located at Linz, Austria. Financial terms of the transaction, which still requires antitrust approval, have not been disclosed. DPx Holdings' exclusive synthesis business develops and produces intermediates for agricultural chemicals. The MA intermediates and specialties business makes MA and a range of intermediates, derivatives, and esters.
