Linde Korea (Seoul), a Linde subsidiary, says it will construct a new 5,200 m.t./ year nitrous oxide (N2O) gas production plant in the Asan Industrial Complex for Foreign Companies, at Asan, Korea. Construction will begin next year and the plant is expected to come onstream by December 2012. Once completed, the new N2O plant will be the largest such plant in Korea, Linde says. The new plant will manufacture and supply ultra high purity N2O gas required in the electronics manufacturing and healthcare industries. In addition to meet- ing growing domestic demand from customers, the plant will also export to nearby countries including China and Taiwan, Linde says.
