A photolabile 'traceless' linker for solid-phase organic synthesis

A photolabile linker based on a thiohydroxamic acid has been shown to be an efficient 'traceless' linker, reveaing an aliphatic CH bond on photolysis at 350 nm. Methods for the synthesis, loaidng and photolytic cleavage of the linker are described.
