ACC: US chemical production growth reached 3.6% in 2015, to average over 4% through 2020

The United States chemical sector grew by 3.6% this year despite the strong US dollar and weakness in key export markets, says the American Chemistry Council (ACC), which today released its Year-End 2015 Chemical Industry Situation and Outlook. The ACC expects growth to slow modestly in 2016, but forecasts average annual growth of over 4% through 2020, exceeding the estimated 2.6% growth in GDP.
