Indorama to acquire Cepsa’s purified isophthalic acid, PTA, and PET plants at San Rroque

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) announced on Thursday that it has signed an agreement to purchase the polyethylene terephthalate (PET), purified terephthalic acid (PTA), and purified isophthalic acid (PIA) facilities of energy company Cepsa's (Madrid) chemicals subsidiary, Cepsa Química (Madrid), located at San Roque, Spain. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. The assets to be acquired generated total revenue of ?519 million ($558 million) and Ebitda of ?38 million in 2014, Indorama says. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2016 subject to regulatory approvals.
