Badlands licenses Unipol process for four 600,000 m.t./year PEe lines

Badlands NGLs (Badlands; Denver) says it has licensed Univation Technologies’ Unipol polyethylene (PE) process for four 600,000 m.t./year production lines, two at a site in North Dakota, and two at an unnamed US site. The facilities will produce both linear low-density PE (LLDPE) and high-density PE (HDPE). Badlands, a private equity firm, announced plans to build an ethane cracker and downstream PE plants in North Dakota in October 2014.
