Peabody, ETC Are Awarded A Contract In Taipower's Coal Tender

The successful bidders are determined in the spot competitive tender (TPC10109-GS and TPC10102-LS) on subbituminous coal invited by Taiwan Power Company with a closing date being 4th of May. In TPC10102-LS, out of bid quantity of 375,000 tons (pana-max sized vessel: 75,000MT, +/- 10% x 5 shipments), Peabody Coaltrade, LLC was awarded a contract for 225,000 tons of U.S. coal (3 shipments) and Universal Marine & Trading Co., Ltd. for 75,000 tons of Indonesian coal. The remaining one shipment was cancelled. The delivery period is from June to December in 2012.
