In answer to the question, “ What should Japan do to procure LNG stably? ” at the international panel discussion, which was recently held, Fereidun Fesharaki of FACT Global Energy advocated, “ Japan should diversify its procurement sources.” Guy F. Caruso, the senior adviser of Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), who participated in the discussion as a panelist, shared the same opinion and made a comment, “Japan should take positive action to purchase LNG produced in the United States.
