China at last fell down to net coal importing country. In the calendar 2009 coal imports of this country explosively expanded, while its coal imports sharply declined, which made this country net coal importer. In effect, coal imports of this country in the calendar year 2009 reached 126,636,000 MT, up as much as 85,802,000 MT (210.1%) from the previous calendar year, while its exports remained 22,396,000 MT, down 23,037,000 MT (50.7%) from one year before. In consequence, coal imports surpassed coal exports by as much as more than 100 million MT in the calendar year 2009.
