Cheniere Energy Makes FID on Sabine Pass Train 5

Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. on June 30th (local time in the U.S.) announced that it has made final investmentdecision (FID) concerning the project to additionally build train 5 of Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project in Cameron Parish,Louisiana. Train 5 will have capacity of 4.5 million tons per year (up to 5 million tpy). Cheniere instructed Bechtel to startconstruction, which is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018. Bechtel was chosen by Cheniere to provideengineering, procurement, and construction services for new trains at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal.
