Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., India has started export of metallurgical coal of Mozambican origin. 36,000 tons of metallurgical coal produced at its own coal mine in the Tete Province was exported to India on May 9. The shipping port is Beira. Jindal Steel is now pushing forward with the development of the export-oriented metallurgical coal mine in the Chirodze area of the Songo region in the Tete Province.
