On 18th May the management of Macarthur Coal Ltd. of Australia announced to reject the purchase proposal by Peabody Energy Corp.of the United States As reported before, on 10th May Peabody Energy reduced its purchase price of Macarthur Coal to Australian Dollars 15.00 per share from Australian Dollars 16.00 per share resulting from the announcement by the Australian Government to introduce Resource Super Profits Tax (RSPT) from July 2012.
