China Imported 10 Mil MT Of Mongolian Metallurgical Coal During January-September-Resulting from rising metallurgical coal production for export in Mongol-

Mongolian metallurgical coal imports of China reached approximately 10 million MT during January-September 2010. Since metallurgical coal imports from Mongol during January-September 2090 remained 2,922,000 MT, Chinese imports of metallurgical coal from Mongol increased 3.4 times from the same period one year ago. Since June 2010, China has been importing average 1,450,000 MT per month of metallurgical coal, and metallurgical coal imports from Mongol by China reaches 14 million MT to 15 million MT in the calendar year 2010 if the current pace of exansioin be maintained. For reference, imports in the calendar year 2009 remained 3,980,000 MT.
