Idemitsu to Cut Refining Capacity of Its Chiba Refinery by 20,000 Bpd

Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. announced on March 30th that it would reduce the refining capacity of its Chiba refinery by 20,000 barrels per day in compliance with the Second Notification on Sophisticated Methods of Energy Supply Structure. Consequently, the refining capacity of the refinery will decrease from 220,000 bpd to 200,000 bpd and total capacity of the three refineries Idemitsu owns will be shrunk from 555,000 bpd to 535,000 bpd.
