Fingerprinting the origin of tantalum ores

Following the United Nations' proposal to fingerprint the origin of raw materials and in line with the German G8 initiative on increased transparency of the world markets, our working group at the BGR has embarked on a project to fingerprint the origin of tantalum ores. The study is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Ministry of Economics and Technology.
