A breakthrough ABS/PBT blend challenges polypropylene for high-performance applications

This new 'Cytra' resin from GE Plastics is made by using proprietary compatibilizing technology in combining acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and polybutyelene terephthalate. According to product manager Dean Ditmar, "These resins offer automotive parts manufacturers a potential material cost savings of as much as 25% when compared to traditional engineering thermoplastics and polypropylenes."
