New TCL plant to make 1.7m fridges a year

Hefei, Anhui - In October 2014 China's TCL opened its new park for white goods and refrigerators with 1.7m unit/year refrigerator capacity. Construction of the facilities started in April 2013. This is the first phase of a three-phase project with refrigerator capacity amounting to 4m units/year. The park has a total area of 1.3m m~2 with RMB7bn ($1.1 bn) investment earmarked.
