Beaverton, Oregon - Nike has developed a lightweight, durable composite sole, using a polyurethane interlayer and midsole, that can be easily used with the prosthetic carbon fibre blades typically used by amputee athletes. The sportswear giant designed the new Nike Sole in conjunction with amputee triathlete and world record holder Sarah Reinertsen and Reykjavik, Iceland-headquartered Ossur.
