JSC Sarov took the decision to diversify by producing polyols for rigid foams in 2004 and bought a license for technology to make polyether polyols for rigid PU foam from a European company. Sarov decided to serve the rigid foam market and hence not to compete with its current suppliers of flexible polyols. The rigid polyol technology allows the group to make a range of modern polyether polyols, which are in demand for manufacturing rigid foams.
