Bayer closes sixth plant

Bayer Polymers LLC is to close its polyether polyol unit in Institute, West Virginia, as part of the ongoing rationalisation of its manufacturing operations. Polyol production will continue at the firm's plant in South Charleston, also in West Virginia; Twenty-six jobs are affected.
