摘要

Al2O3-SiC composite was synthesized from naturalpyrophyllite and clay by carbothermal reduction reaction. TheA1203-SiC composite was added to carbon containing reractoriesfor improving the oxidation resistance of the refractories, and theeffect of the addition on the oxidation resistance was investigated.The result showed the A1203-SiC composite could be easilyobtained and that by adding the A1203-SiC composite, theoxidation resistance of the carbon-containing refractories wasgreatly improved.
