摘要

At ladles in No.l steelmaking shop, Chiba Works, alumina-spinel castables have been applied to the side wall and the bottom. In addition, the patching installation without removing deteriorated layer have been carried out, resulting in the following. 1) The stable durability without cracks and peeling-off was obtained at the side wall and bottom, using alumina spinel castables with spinel particles of 20 percent for fine powder. 2) Patching installation without removing deteriorated layer did not have a bad influence upon the refractory wear after patching, because the adhesion between patching ma, terials and old lining was made strong due to melting of sticked slag on the surface of old lining by receiving heat and its penetration into patching materials.
