摘要

The nonlinear dynamics of charge transport in DNA is addressed. We consider a twist-opening tight-binding model and we show that it can be reduced to a modified discrete nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The discrete Jacobi elliptic function expansion method is applied to the latter and solutions of the whole tight-binding model are found as multi- and single polaronic structures. The mobility of the found solutions is discussed and we find that single-humped polarons are the most stable.
