RESOURCES FOR 'FIGHT FOR CROPS'

摘要

The article contains analyses of problems dealing with banking loans to agricultural and industrial complex in Ukraine. The material states that agrarians need UAH 8.2 bn to conduct seedage this year. The state will finance only approximately UAH 600 mn including 10 percent remuneration from interest rates of obtained agricultural loans. Last year agrarians got UAH 4 bn of loans, however experts forecast decrease of these volumes in 2003. The author analyzes terms of loans and informs on main Ukrainian banks dealing with crediting agricultural sector. The article pays special attention to interest rates of banks and factors influencing their size. An average interest rate for agricultural sector reached 25.3 percent in 2002. In the opinion of experts, there would be no significant reduction of this rate in 2003.
