Q2 2011 PRB production lowest since 2005, leading contributor to price hikes

Thanks to this spring's Midwest flooding, the continuing poor economy and lower natural gas prices, Q2 2011 PRB production is the lowest production quarter since Q2 2005. According to preliminary Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) statistics, the PRB mines of Wyoming and Montana only produced 107.3 million tons during Q2 2011.
