NRP's Saint Nick suggests recovery, Christmas-like wish list for Central Appalachian coal producers

Natural Resource Partners COO Nick Carter offered a couple of fairly short-term projections that, if accurate, will bring smiles back to the faces of Appalachian coal suppliers. In his presentation May 12 at the National Association of Publicly Traded Partnerships' MLP Investor Conference, Carter said he expects record coal exports from the U.S. this year and anticipates a significant resurgence in demand on the part of domestic steam coal buyers before the end of the year.
