Synthetic gas reasembled natural gas is produced from crude brown coal by gasification in horizontal or slightly inclined tube furnaces with two gasification sections, held at different temps. The CO produced is converted to obtain H2/CO, ratio of 3:1 and the CO2 is then removed from the converted gas. The following methanization is accompanied by waste heat recovery fro heating the first gasification section of the tube furnace. The residual coke is used to mfr. producer gas which is added to the tube furnace outflow. Recovery of the heat resulting from ethanization covers 40% of the total heat requirements. This reduces the mfg costs and makes the synthetic gas competitive with natural gas.
