At least one Central Appalachian coal supplier is escaping the dreaded recent market trend of low pricing and low demand experienced by so many other sellers. No, he isn't selling huge volumes at triple-digit prices. But he has found some meaningful spot business for NYMEX-spec coals, and the price has been better than expected. Another positive sign: he's had a few utility customers that want coal ASAP.
