Train in Kentucky emitted coal dust, prompting CSX to caution its mine origins

The Kentucky Department of Environmental Protection notified CSX recently of a recent air quality incident in which a train was spotted emitting coal dust while traveling through the Catlettsburg area. The train originated from a mine origin in West Virginia and was only traveling through Kentucky a very short distance on the way to its destination, CSX noted. If the train had passed through another state multiple violations could have been issued.
