Nine Dragons Paper, the largest buyer of exported US recovered paper, said this month it plans to "jack up" purchasing of Chinese recovered paper in 2008. In a Mar. 17 earnings report, the company said that during the second half of last year it purchased more recovered paper from inside China because of the "increasing price of overseas recovered paper" and "the quality of recovered paper improved" in China. The company already was buying more in China last year.
