With Chongqing pulp line running, Lee and Man writes off its stake in California mill

Lee and Man Paper, which in January 2005 became the first Chinese based company to buy a North American pulp mill, sold the 190,000 tonnes/yr bleached softwood kraft Evergreen Pulp mill operation in Upper Northern California to Worthy Pick Group, based in the British Virgin Islands, for nearly 26 million. The payments are to be made through March 2010 to Worthy Pick, a company that was'not specifically identified in the Lee and Man release.
