February/March startup on tap for von Drehle's new machine in Natchez

A new 35,000 tons/yr tissue paper machine for von Drehle is scheduled for a February or March start up at its deinked pulp mill in Natchez, MS, contacts said. If so, it would be the third new tissue paper machine to be started up in the first quarter in the USA. First Quality Tissue and St. Croix Tissue plan to start machines in the first quarter — adding a total of about 170,000 tons of capacity in the USA, according to RISI's Outlook for World Tissue Business publication.
