Canfor, Domtar ink deals with pulp mill workers that could be a pattern

In British Columbia, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union (CEP) said its Locals 603 and 1133 negotiated a tentative five-year labor deal with northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK.) market pulp producer Canfor Pulp on July 10 that will see increases in wages and benefits until 2017 that could become a pattern agreement. Domtar also reached agreement with workers at its Dryden, ON, pulp mill.
