Family-owned Hallmark Cards last week closed its manufacturing plant in Toronto, ON, and said it would cut positions at two other plants in Arkansas and Indiana as it consolidates operations. The company stopped manufacturing at its Hallmark Canada plant in Toronto effective June 4, eliminating 195 jobs. The company will trim 80 positions at its DaySpring Cards plant in Siloam Springs, AR, by October, and another 60 jobs at its Sunrise Greetings plant in Bloomington, IN, in January.
