Major producers out with global fluff pulp increase that would raise April levels to $1,020-1,030/tonne

Believing momentum is on their side after a harsh winter curtailed supplies, major producers of fluff pulp announced a second price increase of 2014 that could increase levels as much as $70/tonne this year if it's fully implemented. Domtar, International Paper (IP), Georgia-Pacific (G-P), and Weyerhaeuser (Weyco) separately announced $20-30/tonne price increases, effective Apr. 1, industry contacts told PPI Pulp & Paper Week.
