Rolls fall by $10 on forms bond, envelope, MOCR; cutsize, offset hold steady

Three uncoated freesheet (UFS) paper printing and converting grades dropped in price for the first time in at least two years, falling by $10/ton on envelope, forms bond, and MOCR laser papers, according to PPI Pulp & Paper Week. The declines were identified by a variety of sources, including in company earnings reports as well as from market contacts this week. The contacts noted prevalent spot tons for deals, although others said "wholesale" price declines on the grades were not occurring. On other printing and converting grades, carbonless increased 4%, and levels held for trade book and bristols.
